The song of April: Try everything

Proseguendo con le nostre canzoni del mese in inglese, per Aprile Margherita, appena tornata dal cinema dove, il pomeriggio di Pasqua, avevamo visto tutti insieme il cartone Disney "Zootroplis", ha scelto di tradurre proprio la canzone portante della colonna sonora, Try Everything, cantata nel film dal personaggio di Gazelle, con la voce di Shakira.

Come sempre, siamo partite dall'ascolto ripetuto del brano, seguendo il video ufficiale

 e con i sottotitoli in inglese.

"Try everything"  is a song written and recorded by Colombian pop star Shakira for the 2016 Walt Disney Animation Studios film ZooTopia.

It is used during the movie, where it featured as a song recorded by a singer called Gazelle (voiced by Shakira), and used during the end credits. Upon release, the song was a commercial success and received mostly positive reviews.

Shakira always wanted to be in a Disney movie, and her wish came true in the animated movie Zootopia. 

In the character of Gazelle - a famous singer in the city of Zootopia who raises her voice against discrimination and promotes peace - Shakira found herself. “When I was introduced to my character, I found a lot of common denominators between her and I,” Shakira told.

The superstar also confessed that like the main character, bunny Judy Hopps, as a child she wanted to be a police officer and defend human rights.

In conjunction with her new movie Zootopia, Shakira has released a music video for "Try Everything," starring her character Gazelle. 

The video goes back and forth from Shakira in the studio to clips from the animated film.
